Our Ethos

Curiosity Project is a collective of wholehearted therapists who specialise in working with children, young people and their families.

We are committed to a relational approach of working with the aim of promoting and sustaining positive change for all involved. We approach this through offering highly skilled professional support to the child, parents, carers and school staff. We listen carefully to the experience of the individual and make every effort to hear the voice of the child no matter how they choose to express themselves.

We have over 19 years’ experience of working therapeutically with children and families. Connection, acceptance and empathy run solidly throughout every aspect of our work from beginning to end.

“We have been very lucky for the past year to work directly with Katy, she sees my husband and I regularly to help us understand our children’s complex needs and behaviour and with that understanding helps us to parent in a more therapeutic way.”

“Curiosity Project has consistently been one of the most impactful services we have worked with – for pupils, families, staff and the leadership team. This is due to a combination of the relationships they form, their invaluable knowledge and expertise, bespoke offers that meet the unique needs of our school and the way in which they work with us.”

Bio: Katy Beetham

For the past 19 years Katy has worked therapeutically with children and families. She approaches her practice with a compassionate humility and is known to be eternally curious.

“Katy has an amazing ability to explain things in a way that we will understand and to see things from a different perspective. Our son has been having therapy with Katy for a few months and it has really helped him to manage his emotions.”

“The facilitator was fantastic and totally engaging, I could have listened all day. The workshop has really changed my understanding of behaviour and nervous systems, this day will definitely change the way I work.”
